Arvada is a historic municipality in Colorado that has about 36.5 square miles of land area. Although it is part of Denver-Aurora-Lakewood Colorado Metropolitan Statistical Area, it still has a suburban image. Located in Adams and Jefferson counties, Arvada is just 10 minutes away from Wheat Ridge City. You can find around 110,000 residents in Arvada. History

Arvada was founded in 1870 as a small railroad town along Jersey Junction. Denver’s cityhood in 1876 would lead to an influx of immigrants to the town, furthering its growth. It would eventually be incorporated in 1904 after Denver’s outward expansion. By the latter half of the 20th Century, Arvada had become one of Denver’s more prosperous suburbs.

Arvada retains its historical role as a major transport hub, with key routes like Interstate 76 and Interstate 25 converging in the city. California Zephyr also makes its way through Arvada twice a day. The city also has a large concentration of schools, businesses, medical centers, parks, and public utilities that provide services to its large population.
